These pink pickled onions are my favorite addition to everything from tacos to salad bowls. They add a tangy kick to whatever you put on them, not to mention they’re great for gut health! Keep them sealed in the fridge to add a pretty topping to all of your dishes.
1 red onion (extremely thinly sliced)
3/4 cup red wine vinegar
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup filtered water
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tsp salt
*Optional- Add red chili flakes, jalapenos, curry powder, garlic, or whatever you want!
- Stuff red onions in a large mason jar with a lid
- Fill jar to fully cover the onions with the fully combined mixture of vinegar, water, maple syrup, salt, and optional additions.
That’s it. So gooooooood and who doesn’t want pink on their plate?! Try em’ out!
