Sometimes I’m like FUCK 2020 BLOWS!!! And then I remember that it’s the same year Trader Joe’s released this Honey Aleppo Sauce and I’m like ok it’s not THAT bad… 😅
I’ve been obsessed with using it to marinate chicken for bowls, tacos, etc. It would even be fab on shrimp, salmon, potatoes, veggies, trash. It’s just delightful. Tonight I made an easy Honey Aleppo Chicken Pita that I think you all will enjoy very much!

Honey Aleppo Chicken Pita
Ingredients
- Trader Joe’s Honey Aleppo Sauce
- Chicken breast cut thin if it’s a thick piece!
- Avocado oil
- Pita bread
- Romaine lettuce
- Cucumber
- Feta cheese
Instructions
-
Marinate your chicken in enough sauce to fully coat each piece of chicken for 1-24 hours.
-
In a hot pan over medium heat, add enough avocado oil to generously coat the pan. Once the pan and oil is hot, add your chicken. Cook for 4-5 minutes each side or until cooked through (depending on the thickness of the chicken). Remove the chicken to cool for a bit before cutting.
-
Leave the pan on without cleaning it and add your pita bread. Cook for about 1 min each side until warm and slightly crispy.
-
Inside the pita, add your diced chicken, veggies, feta cheese and some extra sauce!
