I bet you didn’t know you needed a Fall Pizza recipe did you?? I took some risks with this one and boy did they pay off. I wasn’t sure if all of these flavors would work but they are literally a match made in fall/winter pizza HEAVEN. I wanted to incorporate butternut squash (I’m OBSESSED with the butternut squash pizza from True Food) and I absolutely love squash + goat cheese and even better… add bacon.
I ate half of this for dinner with some Roasted Tomato Soup and WOW it seriously hit the spot. The ultimate cold weather meal!

Butternut Squash Pizza with Bacon, Kale and Goat Cheese
Ingredients
- 1 pizza crust
- 3 oz goat cheese
- 1/2 tsp fresh thyme plus more to top
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup butternut squash cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 2 slices cooked bacon diced
- 1/4 cup kale
- Kosher salt & pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- hot honey to drizzle on top
- olive oil
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
-
To roast the garlic, wrap the cloves in tin foil and drizzle some olive oil on top. It should be soft and creamy in about 20-30 minutes.
-
In a small bowl, combine the goat cheese, fresh thyme, roasted garlic, salt and pepper. Add 1-2 tbsp of water just a little bit at a time until you get a nice, spreadable consistency.
-
Increase the heat of the oven to 400 degrees. Toss the butternut squash and cherry tomatoes in olive oil, salt and pepper. Lay out on a sheet pan, add a bit of chili powder to the squash and roast for about 20 minutes or until the squash is soft and tomatoes are blistered.
-
Check the crust for instructions and cook before adding the toppings if needed.
-
Spread the goat cheese on the crust like you would any regular pizza sauce then add the squash, tomatoes, bacon, kale, and some more goat cheese crumbles if you'd like!
-
Bake for 15 minutes or according to the crust instructions. Drizzle with your hot honey, add fresh thyme and black pepper, and serve!
Recipe Notes
I used Banza pizza crust.
To make your own hot honey, just add some sriracha or chili flakes to your honey. This pizza goes great with a little kick!
