In honor of Father’s Day, I’m sharing my Dad’s Oven Baked-Ribs recipe that I made him for dinner 🥰 My mom taught me most of my cooking skills, but my dad definitely knows his way around the kitchen. These ribs are insanely tender and fall right off the bone. Literally my favorite food of all time 🙌🏼 They’re super simple to make and kind of impossible to mess up. The perfect summer dinner with some coleslaw and potato salad! YUM!
My Dad’s Oven-Baked Ribs
- 2 lbs baby back ribs I got mine from Trader Joe’s
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- BBQ sauce of choice We used @pappyssmokehouse BBQ sauce
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
Remove the membrane from the back of your ribs (the ones from TJs have this done already, if you’re unsure just look up a video on YouTube there’s a ton!).
Pat dry with a paper towel and add the seasonings on with your hands, making sure to rub it in well.
Wrap in tin foil and bake for 2 hours, until tender. Remove the ribs from the foil and finish on the grill. If you don’t have a grill, add BBQ sauce and broil for 3-4 minutes.
For the grill, cook for 5 minutes each side, coating the top with BBQ sauce a few minutes before removing from the grill.
