You haven’t truly lived until you’ve made this Green Goddess Turkey Melt 🔥 I’ve definitely been on a sandwich kick recently (a hot sandwich kick to be precise). But there’s just something about a well made sandwich that hits the spot every. single. time. and once you’ve made this Green Goddess sauce you’ll start putting it on everything. Trust me.
- 4 slices of bread
- 1-2 tbsp softened butter
- 6 oz deli turkey
- 4 slices of white cheddar cheese
- 1 heirloom tomato cut into slices
- 1/8 red onion thinly sliced
Green goddess mayonnaise:
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup fresh basil
- 1 small clove of garlic
- 1/2 lemon juiced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of kosher salt
Make the green goddess mayonnaise by adding all ingredients to a blender or food processor.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Spread the butter on one side of each slice of bread. On the bare side, spread a spoonful of green goddess mayonnaise. Add the cheese, turkey, tomato and red onion on top of one of the slices and add another slice on top, butter sides facing outwards.
Add to the pan and flip after 1-2 minutes each side, or until golden brown.
