
Steak Frites are the ULTIMATE Valentine’s Day dinner ❤️🔥 I always cook at-home date night meals using the @yummly Smart Thermometer because there’s nothing romantic about a stressed-out cook and undercooked steak.

Steak Frites
Ingredients
- 1 Rib-Eye steak about 1 1/2 lbs
- Kosher salt
- 1 tbsp butter
- Flakey salt to finish
Air frier fries:
- 2 russet potatoes cut into fries
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 kosher salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Trim excess fat off the steak and salt generously on both sides. Let the steak come to room temperature, about 20 minutes.

Heat your grill to medium heat and add the steak once it’s hot. Cook on both sides until it reaches your desired temperature. Let it rest for 5 minutes, top with a pat of butter, and slice. Finish with flakey sea salt (the @yummly Smart Thermometer will tell you when to remove it and has a built-in rest timer).
Air frier fries:

Cut the russet potato in half short ways then cut each half into “fries” long ways. Place in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 20-30 minutes.

Drain water, pat your fries fry and toss in avocado oil and seasonings. Without overcrowding (you will have to do it in batcheair fry for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until golden and crispy. You can also bake for 30-40 minutes at 425.
