To have tried the Crazy Feta from Cava is to love it, and when I saw they were selling it at Whole Foods I immediately grabbed that small tub of heaven. However at $9.99 for a little container that we went through in 2 days, I knew I had to master the at home version (no shade get your bag Cava). My version has the exact same ingredients, makes way more, and costs a lot less to make! Perfect for adding to my Mediterranean-Style Chicken Bowls or as a fun appetizer with pita chips and fresh crunchy veggies. You can’t go wrong!
Crazy Feta Cava Remake
- 8 oz feta cheese
- 3 small jalapeños or 2 regular diced, seeds and core removed
- 1 small yellow onion diced
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add the onions and jalapeños and sauté occasionally until they are browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the onions and jalapeños to a medium sized bowl with the feta cheese and remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil.
Mash with a fork until fully combined. For a creamier texture, add more oil.
