Banana Bread Coffee Cake


Almond Flour Banana Bread

  • 2-3 brown bananas
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup nut butter
  • 1 tbsp avocado or coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups almond flour I haven’t tried with any other flour, but I’m pretty confident any flour will work!
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder


  • 1/3 cup flour I used cassava, but any should work
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar coconut sugar should work too
  • 3 tbsp cold butter cut into small pieces (you could try coconut oil here too)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Combine wet ingredients then add in dry ingredients to make the banana bread mixture. I always sift my baking powder to make sure there aren’t any clumps that get through!

  3. Add to a greased baking pan- I did a 6 in cake pan. You can choose any pan you wish, but baking time may vary.

  4. Next make the crumble! Combine all ingredients except the butter. Add in your butter and combine (I used my hands). You should get large, course crumbs. Of crumbs don’t form, add 1 tsp butter at a time until you do.

  5. Add the crumble on top of the banana bread and bake for 35-40 minutes.

  6. Serve warm with a nice hot cup of coffee!
