Combine your beef, bacon, salt and pepper and form into 4 patties. Press the center of the patty with your thumb as the center will rise as it cooks! Cook over medium heat on a grill or oiled cast iron pan for 3-4 minutes each side. Once you flip, top with cheese and cover until it melts.
Remove patties from the pan then add your buttered bread until crispy. .
Assemble your melt by adding the burger, onions and spreading on the sauce.
