Feta Stuffed Turkey Burgers

Servings 5 burgers


  • 1 lb ground turkey or beed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 red onion minced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tsp salt, pepper and dried oregano
  • 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 sweet potato for the buns
  • 1 tbsp everything but the bagel seasoning for the buns
  • avocado oil spray
  • burger toppings - hummus, tzatziki, tomato, cucumber, etc.


  1. In a large bowl combine the following ingredients with your hands: ground meat, red onion, garlic, fresh basil, egg, and salt, pepper and dried oregano.

  2. Form the meat into a patty, add about 1/2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese to the center and then fold it like a taco and reform the patty so the cheese is in the middle.

  3. Cook on medium heat in @chosenfoods avocado oil for about 6-7 minutes each side. 

  4. Serve on sweet potato buns - Baked at 400 degrees for 10 minutes each side, coated in avocado oil and seasoned with @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning). Finish them on broil for 1-2 minutes to get them extra crispy!

  5. Also served with tomato, cucumber, hummus, tszatziki, charred bell peppers and a side salad.
