A healthy spin on one of my absolute FAVORITES from when I was younger: French Onion Dip. I will never ever have the jarred version again. Take the time to make it fresh and I promise you that you won’t regret it. The onions take a bit to caramelized, but once that’s done it takes just a couple minutes to throw together!
Ingredients
- 1 large diced yellow onion
- 4 minced cloves of garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
- 1/2 juice from lemon
- 2 tbsp chives
- 1 tsp salt and pepper
Instructions
- Saute yellow onion and garlic in olive oil over low heat. Your onions will take about 45 minutes to an hour to completely caramelize. Be patient! You’ll know they’re done when they’re a dark golden brown.
- Add the onion and garlic mixture to Greek yogurt, lemon juice, chives, and salt and pepper. Refrigerate for one hour before serving. I recommend using kettle chips!
