I love this series so much and it’s truly what we all are cooking 90% of the time. Easy, healthy, quick, high protein dinners that don’t leave you feeling unsatisfied. This dinner is definitely not skimping on flavor, but won’t leave you feeling weighed down. The gochujang stir fry sauce is insanely good and can be used on any stir fry meal.
Gochujang is a spicy, savory, and slightly sweet fermented chili paste that brings vibrant flavor. It’s made from red chili peppers, rice, fermented soybeans, and salt. It’s that ingredient that takes marinades, dips, sauces, everything to a whole new level – it really is a flavor that’s so amazing that it can’t be replicated.
If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, don’t worry! You can find it at your local Asian markets, larger grocery stores in the Asian food aisle or online. Here are some options from Whole Foods, Amazon and World Market.
I also love that gochujang lasts so long in the fridge! Once you open it, store it in the refrigerator, either in its original packaging or a sealed, airtight container. This keeps it fresh for several months to a year, meaning plenty of time to add it to recipes throughout the year.
If you can’t find gochujang, you can use sriracha instead, but I highly recommend giving it a try if you can get your hands on it. Feel free to serve in lettuce cups or over rice for a more hearty meal. Enjoy!
Sooo good and easy!
Already have made it twice in one week since it was added to the website! Followed the recipe exactly. It’s perfect!
Super good and quick! added diced mushrooms and onions for extra veg, doubled the sauce because we <3 sauce, added lime and chopped peanuts on top. apologies for all the capitals, idk why this is happening. anyways, will def make this recipe again!
