I have been thinking about Trader Joe’s Honey Aleppo Sauce since they came out with it in 2020. I’ve obsessively used it to marinate chicken for bowls, tacos, etc. It would even be fab on shrimp, salmon, potatoes, veggies, trash. It’s just delightful. Tonight I made an easy Honey Aleppo Chicken Pita that I think you all will enjoy very much!
Ingredients
- Trader Joe’s Honey Aleppo Sauce
- Chicken breast cut thin if it’s a thick piece!
- Avocado oil
- Pita bread
- Romaine lettuce
- Cucumber
- Feta cheese
Instructions
- Marinate your chicken in enough sauce to fully coat each piece of chicken for 1-24 hours.
- In a hot pan over medium heat, add enough avocado oil to generously coat the pan. Once the pan and oil is hot, add your chicken. Cook for 4-5 minutes each side or until cooked through (depending on the thickness of the chicken). Remove the chicken to cool for a bit before cutting.
- Leave the pan on without cleaning it and add your pita bread. Cook for about 1 min each side until warm and slightly crispy.
- Inside the pita, add your diced chicken, veggies, feta cheese and some extra sauce!
