Breaking in the new grill with BURGER BOWLS. Ain’t nothing wrong with a bun, but when you’ve been living off takeout for 2 1/2 months nothing sounds better than a fresh crispy bed of lettuce. Don’t worry- these are loaded with toppings and special sauce of course so they’re still going to satisfy your soul.
Ingredients
- Grilled Cheeseburgers:
- 1 lb grass fed beef 80/20 is ideal
- Salt & pepper
- Cheddar cheese slices
- Toppings: lettuce tomatoes, avocado, thinly sliced yellow onion, or whatever you like!
Special Sauce:
- 1/3 cup mayo
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp relish
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- Pinch of salt
Air Frier Fries:
- 2 russet potatoes cut into fries
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Prep your toppings and make the special sauce. Place in the fridge until ready.
- For the burgers, form 6 evenly sized balls and gently form a thin patty. If you like a thicker burger, you can make Press the center with your thumb to form an indent. The middle always puffs up when cooking! Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat your grill to 450-500 degrees and spray with cooking spray of choice to prevent sticking. Add the burgers and cover the grill for 1-2 minutes depending on the burger thickness. Flip, add cheese and cover the grill for another 1-2 minutes until burger is cooked to your liking and cheese is melted.
- For the fries, toss in oil and seasonings until generously coated. Air fry at 375 for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway. Make sure not to overcrowd otherwise they won’t cook properly. You may need to do 2-3 batches depending on your air fryer.
- Add the patty on top of lettuce and add your toppings!
Great recipe! I’ve made this 3 times in 3 weeks! The sauce is the perfect addition to the bowl
