This recipe makes tacos, but you could definitely use it to make salads, a taco bowl or burritos. The toppings are also customizable, I just made it with what I like best, so you can easily change or add based on your preferences. Go ahead and give this recipe a try as is or make it your own, but either way, you have to try it!
Step by Step
Heat a cast iron pan over medium heat. Add avocado oil and once it is hot, sear meat for about 2 minutes each side until golden brown and a nice crust has formed.
Move the steak to the slow cooker.
Add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker.
Cover and cook for 7-8 hours on low heat.
Shred the steak with 2 forks and season to taste.
Assemble your tacos, garnish with cilantro and enjoy!

Literally 10/10 – so easy and delicious. I topped mine with lettuce, pickled turnip and jalapeno and a chipotle crema.
these were so easy and so delicious! Huge hit among everyone and perfect to make for a group. Will definitely be making again!
This was a huge hit for my family. I used the instant pot to saute the steak, then did manual for 40 min, and it shredded up perfectly!
