Bean-less Whole30 Turkey Chili in the InstantPot is making my hungover meal prep 1000% less miserable. I swear this chili is better than my regular turkey chili. It’s soooo easy, flavorful and super filling.
Turn your InstantPot to sauté (or use a skillet over medium heat) and add avocado oil. Once it’s hot, add white onion and garlic.
After about 5 minutes, add turkey (or beef). Break up with a wooden spoon and brown for about 6 minutes - transfer to your slow cooker if you aren’t using an InstantPot.
Add in bell pepper, sweet potatoes, and jalapeño (optional). Combine then turn off the InstantPot. Add in crushed tomatoes (the only ingredient should be tomatoes!!!) and water. Season with chili powder, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin and a dash of cayenne.
Combine well then cover and pressure cook on high for 10 minutes then quick release or slow cook for 4 hours on high or 7 hours on low. You could also simmer on the stove (covered) for 45 minutes to an hour!
Once it’s cooked, the sweet potatoes should be soft and easy to break up with a wooden spoon or spatula. Top with fresh cilantro and avocado - a dollop of Greek yogurt would be great too if you aren’t doing Whole30!
Welcome!
