One of my most requested breakfast recipes! So easy to prep for the week for breakfast and it is full of good, simple ingredients so you know you are starting your day off well. I love when what you are eating makes you feel just as good after eating it as you felt while eating it.
This recipe is truly so customizable from the type of protein you use (or don’t use) to the type of fruit you top it with. You can store these in any airtight container, but to make it easy, you can find the jars I use to make mine here.
How It’s Made
Start by prepping your ingredients. This recipe is super simple and makes one jar each, but I like to make it in batches for breakfast for the week.
In a small jar with a lid, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, hemp seeds, cinnamon, salt and protein powder.
The protein powder is optional, but I like to add it because it is such an easy way to add protein to your diet.
Add the milk and stir to combine. It should be runny and slightly liquidy in consistency. If it seems too thick, add 1/4 cup more milk. Keep in mind these absorb the milk and get thicker as they sit overnight. Leave in the fridge for at least an hour, preferably overnight, before serving.
Serve with fresh strawberries, bananas and walnuts, or your choice of fruit. This recipe is super customizable based on your preferences. After the fruit, add a drizzle of honey.
