Whether you’re feeding a crowd or making dinner for the week, this Cheesesteak Skillet is about to become your BFF. I made this 3 times in one week and still couldn’t get enough.
You can eat it as a low carb skillet or toss it into a hoagie roll for a cheesesteak sandwich. I’ve done both and can confirm it’s one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. I made it for my family and my mom loves mushrooms so we added them, but feel free to leave them out if it’s not your thing. Enjoy!!
To make cheesesteak sliders, place one package of Hawaiian rolls in a similar sized shallow baking dish. Remove the top layer of the Hawaiian rolls and add the steak mixture on top of the bottom half of the rolls then add the cheese slices (I add 6 slices instead of 4 for this method). Place the top layer back on, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with flakey salt. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees or until cheese is melted and the top is golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
I loved this recipe! Easy to make for a weeknight and so delicious.
My daughter fixed this recipe and we all loved it! Excited to make it for other adult children tonight! Years ago I made something similar using the packaged “steak umm” sliced beef. Glad to use a healthier, non-pre -packaged beef option.
I LOVED this recipe so much and already planning on making it again! My dad is a cheesesteak “snob”. I made this for my family one night and he loved it. Also so easy and cheap to make!
Amazing-Easy to make! Not expensive. I seasoned meat a little more than just salt and pepper. Big hit with the family. Thanks for the recipe!
This was the perfect weeknight meal. Easy and the whole family lived it!
Made this tonight and it is so good!! Will definitely be making again
