A classic Brocc recipe that has been on repeat since 2018. This meal is every you want in a quick, healthy weeknight dinner. It’s delicious, protein packed and makes great leftovers. You will definitely be saving this one!
Delicious dinner I keep in rotation. However I do want to call out the timing to get the sweet potato cooked through is much longer than 15-20 minutes. Every time I make this, the cook time ends up being double that which can be frustrating when trying to cook a quick meal. In the future I will likely cook the sweet potato a bit first on the side when meat is cooking. But flavors are there and it’s a great combo!
Hi Meghan! Thanks for sharing. May I suggest next time cutting the sweet potatoes smaller so they cook faster? That should certainly help!
Two things I appreciate in a recipe: you can prep as you cook, and it’s really adaptable! I cut the sweet potatoes in smaller chunks than the recipe calls for which I think helps it cook at the recommended time. I also add the broccoli 10 minutes after adding the broth/water because I like it crisper. The most recent time I added black beans and it was great!

Really simple, easy for a weeknight. I added a fried egg on top just because. Like another reviewer I also found cooking time to be off – sweet potatoes were not cooked in 15 mins, more like 25. I think next time I might add the potatoes first and then the brocc after 7-10 minutes or so. I found the brocc was slightly overcooked because it was done faster than the potato.
Enjoyed the recipe, however cook time was way off. Took much longer than stated
Absolutely delicious! This is my second time making this for my family. As per their request, I was asked to make this one of the dishes we keep on rotation. The flavors blend together beautifully and the veggies provide a well-balanced diet. I use water and cut the salt in half and it still tastes AMAZING 🥦🍴

I have made this 10+ times now and it never fails me. It’s our go to week night dinner. My Boyfriend requested It when he was sick Instead of chicken noodle soup.
I added kale most recentl because i was short on Broccoli. Super yummy!
Just made this for the first time tonight! Loved it! I started out by cooking the sweet potato first and removing it from The pan before cooking turkey etc and then re-added when i put in broccoli and bell pepper.
Made this yesterday for my lunches for the week – my husband came home and ate half of it in one sitting so i have literally had to hide the rest of it in the back of my fridge so he wont eat it all. Soo easy, quick, delicious and filling. It’s also easy to swap ingredients depending on what you already have- i didnt have broccoli so i just used extra green pepper and a jalapeno. I have promised my husband to make this again for dinner next week, highly recommend!
