Get ready for your new go-to easy to throw together weeknight dinner, Shrimp Sesame Noodles. This one is possibly my favorite recipe in my series of 20 Minute, High Protein Meals from Trader Joe’s yet! When I saw these squiggly noodles at TJ’s I knew I had to make a recipe with them and I am sooo glad I did.
The sauce pack it comes with may be more convenient, but it does contain additives and processed elements like glucose, defatted soy flour, and invert sugar syrup. I decided to make my own and for the 5 minutes it takes to mix together I’d say it’s WELL WORTH the effort.
The sauce I made is worth it for the whole, natural ingredients like honey, ginger and garlic but also for how easy it makes to customize the flavor to your liking. Overall, being able to control the quality of the ingredients I am using as well as the taste of the dish are a win! Also, the sauce really is just so damn good.
I was in a debate between doing shrimp or ground chicken for the protein, so pick whichever one speaks to you! This meal is sooo simple and customizable, you really can’t go wrong. PLUS, if you keep these noodles on hand, then you can easily whip it up with whatever protein and veggies you have.
The best news? You’re only 20 minutes away from your new favorite dinner.
