There is a reason a classic caprese salad never goes out of style. It is simple, beautiful, and comes together in just a few minutes which makes it one of my favorite recipes for entertaining. Creamy burrata, juicy cherry tomatoes, fresh basil from the garden, and grilled fresh sourdough create a dish that feels special without requiring much effort. It is the kind of appetizer that always impresses guests while giving you more time to enjoy the party!
Because there are so few ingredients, quality really matters here. Ripe, in season tomatoes, fresh basil, good extra virgin olive oil (which you can also use generously on your bread before grilling for the best results), flaky sea salt, and creamy burrata are what make this recipe shine. When each ingredient is at its best, you do not need to do much else. It is proof that sometimes the simplest recipes are the most memorable.
